Women's entrepreneurship Week: Celebrating Women of Color in business
As Owner and Creative Director of Delsie Catering and Events, Pearl combines her passion for fine dining,innovative design and fashion to create a unique concept called "Food Art", marrying the craftsmanship of local artists with fresh organic ingredients from local farms.
Featured in industry leading magazines, such as Bizbash, Rhode Island Monthly and Providence Monthly, Pearl has earned the name of the go-to cater when trendsetting cuisine, unparalleled service and innovative design matters the most. She has also been recognized nationally by her unconventional approach to food design.
In May 2016, Pearl was chosen to give the 2016 Culinary Arts Commencement Speech at Johnson and Wales University. Four weeks later in June 2016, she was the recipient of the University’s 10 Under 10 Award. This honor was given to distinguished alumni, who have made outstanding contributions to their professions and achieved a career of noteworthy accomplishment within 10 years of graduating. Recipients were selected from thousands of candidate’s on the basis of excellence in career achievements and contributions to the community.
Other noteworthy accomplishments include her recent acceptance to Goldman Sach's 10,000 Small Businesses Program, a highly selective program designed to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity for the State of Rhode Island.
Above all, Pearl is most proud of her mission to give back to her community through Delsie Catering and Events' campaign, #Delsiegivesback. To date, the Delsie team has volunteered and supported many community initiatives such as Year Up's mentorship program, cooking for residents of Crossroads, and Building parks and teaching about food sustainability with the Partnership for Providence Parks.

Lisa has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years. Lisa has strong change management experience with a consistent track record of delivering solutions that enable new capabilities and improve current business operations. Proven ability to manage staff, negotiating agreements, financial management and managing vendor relationships. Demonstrates ability to lead teams to improve performance and adapt to rapidly changing environment and shifting priorities.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Programming Technology. In addition, she is a certified Project Management Professional and also holds Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Green Belt Certification, awarded by Bank of America and holds a Real Estate Salesperson license.
Lisa has received many accolades for her work such as: Named one of Rhode Island’s most powerful and Influential women by Rhode Island Monthly Magazine; “16 To Watch” for 2016 by GoLocalProv.

Olivia is a Providence-based stylist who lives for helping her clients go through personal transformations by falling in love with their wardrobes, and enhancing their signature styles. As a style expert, Olivia works with companies, and professional photographers to bring their vision for fashion spreads and videos to life with sheer creativity and passion.
When she's not spending time with her family of four (dog included), she is either interviewing designers and shops for her Style Stops Facebook Live series, or scouting for vintage finds!
Norelys R. Consuegra, a native Rhode Islander, daughter of Colombian parents, Norelys is fluent in Spanish and began a new career as Deputy Director of Elections for RI Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea in March. Prior to her new position, she was a former Senate Aide for US Senator Jack Reed, close to 20 years.
Norelys received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1996 and completed her Masters Degree in International Relations from Salve Regina University in 2012. During her tenure as a Senate Aide, she wasrecognized as the recipient of the Ralph Gabellieri Service Award by Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island, been recognized as a Diversity Ambassador by the State of Rhode Island, awarded the Extraordinary Women Award for community work, received recognition from RI Latino Public Radio and the National Archives and Records Administration for her collaborated work between offices. She has received numerous letters from Rhode Islanders thanking her for her service.
In addition to her full-time employment, she is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Continuing Studies at Roger Williams University and has worked over ten years, during the summer for the Special Programs for Talent Development (TD) at the University of Rhode Island, the same program she participated as an undergraduate.
She has been very involved in community service being a member of the Rhode Island Latino Civic Fund and the Political Action Committee (RILCF/RILPAC) and currently is the Program Coordinator of RI Latina Leadership Institute (LLI) among volunteering with many Rhode Island organizations. She makes her home in Warwick with her husband Salvador and two sons, Gabriel and Ashten.
