On August 24, PVD Lady Project joined lady forces with members of the Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) for Summer Cocktails & Connections at 10 Rocks Tapas Bar in Pawtucket. This inspiring evening included great conversation, delicious food and a fun location to get to know new friends.
Three speakers including PVD Lady Project’s own Sierra Barter, and GSSNE’s Sarah Cholewa and Laura Minadeo, spoke about their experiences as young Girl Scouts and how those experiences molded them into leaders. From kindness, compassion, and open-mindedness, to determination and drive, all three ladies unanimously agreed that their unique Girl Scouting adventures shaped them into the strong, independent women they are today.
Summer Cocktails & Connections was a great way to bring together women who may not cross paths on a regular basis, but whose goals, dreams, and aspirations are very much in-sync. “Non-Girl Scouts” learned that it’s never too late to join the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place, and former Girl Scouts remembered the spark that Girl Scouting lit within them. And yes, there were cookies!
