The much anticipated 2016 Lady Project Summer Guide launched Wednesday the 8th with a party at Ogie's Trailer Park, a vintage 60's themed bar with classic cocktails and tiki drinks to match. Ladies munched on tater tots, a chili bar, and sliders from Granny Boo's Kitchen while sipping on Moscow Mules and Hurricanes.
Though the weather was dismal for most of the day, it held out long enough to have our 3x3 speakers chat outside about their Rhode Island Summer Secrets. Julie Tremaine of Providence Monthly's biggest secret is to get out of Providence and check out those spots everyone talks about but never has time to go to! Pack a picnic and head to Tiverton or Watch Hill, make each weekend a destination. Executive Producer of The Rhode Show, Ashley Erling, insists that Rhode Island summers are why we live here, so we need to seize the sun and use our stomachs as a guide to finding our favorite clam shacks and ice cream spots! The final 3x3 speaker, Kate MacDonald, Marketing Manager for Coastway Bank enlightened us on her favorite secret dive bars. Her summer picks for people watching with a drink are Captain Seaweeds, Back Getty, and Harbourside Bar in East Greenwich.
After the 3x3 speakers Beauty Counter representative and PVD Lady Project Member Meredith McBride was on hand to help ladies find their perfect summer shade of lipstick. Members also brought gently loved children's books for United Way Rhode Island's Children's Book Drive to help foster a love of reading in our community!
